How much advanced notice do you require to start classes?
For regular classes students can register two weeks before arriving, unless they
want to take classes during the high season (May – August). During that time we
recommend registration at least 60 days prior your arrival to the school. Exceptions are allowed.
Are classes contracted on a weekly basis only?
Generally yes, even though it is also possible to take extra days after having studied
one or more weeks.
Is it necessary to start classes on Monday?
Yes, classes start on the first Monday of each month. However, if yo cannot arrive this day, you can always start classes, but with a regular group.
Do you offer private classes?
Yes, first the schedule has to be agreed upon your arrival with the school.
If I arrive early, let's say on a Friday, can I go on a weekend tour or excursion
before I start classes?
Yes, you certainly can! Just let us know you would like to do this in the "Comment"
section of your application.
Do you offer classes for families? Are there classes for children?
Yes at CR Learning we offer classes for families. We also accept children as of
the age of 3. At times we can arrange for supervision while parents are in class. Children should
take classes in private tutoring only.
Can I extend my program after my course has finished?
Yes, as long as there is space available you can extend classes and lodging. It
is also possible to pay week by week, but if you sign up and pay for more than 1
week you get a better rate instead of paying week by week.
Can I send you my application if I don't know my flight schedule yet?
Yes, but please keep us informed as soon as you get it.
At what time should students come to school on the first day of class?
They should be at the school at 7:30 am.
Will someone take me to school on the first school day?
Normally your host mom or any other family member from your host family will take
you the first day of school.
Do I need to take a test before I start my classes so that CR Learning will know
the level of my Spanish?
The first day of class you must take an oral placement test to make sure you are
in the appropriate class level. The other option is to coordinate a test by Skype.
How long will it take me to learn Spanish?
It depends on your Spanish knowledge before your arrival. Without any previous language
experience, you can learn basic knowledge in about 4 weeks.
What is the average age of your students?
CR Learning receives students from all ages.
Are there different Spanish classes for different levels?
Yes. Our Spanish classes range from beginner,
intermediate, to advanced. In addition to regular
Spanish classes, CR Learning offers other programs such as internships,
cooking and dancing classes.
What are your teachers’ qualifications?
They all have university degrees in the teaching area. And of course, all have the
training and the experience in teaching Spanish as a second language.
Are the class curriculum materials included in the course price?
On the first day of classes each student takes a written test and an interview to
determine his or her level of Spanish so that he or she can be placed in the correct
class. The price includes all the materials necessary.
What should I bring?
You should bring a dictionary of Spanish/English, Spanish/French, Spanish/German,
etc. In addition to the dictionary, you should take an umbrella (for the rainy season
–our summer), a poncho, walking shoes, flip flops, swimsuit, a towel, camera, a
back pack, photos of your family, friends, pets, etc.
Are cultural activities included?
Yes, there are also many adventure tours available at extra cost. Also available
for the weekends are overnight trips to many beautiful places throughout the country.
